Problem Background:

Compared with the foreign banks, it is a fact that the customers have great complaints over the domestic outlets’ environment and long queues. The Medias reports that the long queue phenomenon in Chinese banks has not shown any signal for turning to the better even though the customers keep complaining. Even in the northeastern city customers have to wait for an average of 10 minutes when they process a deposit service, not mention the metropolises such as Beijing and Shanghai. More waits mean that customers spend more time on daily chores! The medium and small outlet often houses four to five counters in the city, one or two of which are only open to the enterprise customers. Sometimes the counters will be unavailable even it is the work time. Anyway banks can always find reasons for the closing of some counters. Customers, in this case, are unjustly tailored. Couldn’t they allocate a little bit of their income to improve their branches’ infrastructure and services in order to make customers feel free when they are opening your door? And this is the problem we need to solve.

Research Content:

For the reason that, the number of the banks cannot be changed in a short period of time, so what we can do is to optimize a typical bank’s conditions, and by popularizing the optimal solution to other banks, the queuing problem of banks can be worked out.

Regarding the sake of customers, we need to satisfy the demand of customers (the ideal waiting time), and to minimize the expenditure (cost) invested by banks.

So we predict the first IP(Integer Programing) model.

MODEL 1

Predicted objective function:
Min: z (cost of meeting the demand of customers’ waiting time)

Predicted decision variables:
1.  number of ATM&CDM that a bank should add
2.  number of the tellers that a bank should add(maybe depends on different period of time in a day)
3.  number of the tellers working on service 1,2,3… respectively.

Predicted constraints:
1.      the average most endurable period of waiting time per person
2.      cost of adding an ATM, a CDM, and a teller respectively
3.      the number of ATMs and CDMs that a bank’s capacity can hold
4.      the average time that a teller or a ATM&CDM can serve a customer(depends on different affairs)
5.      different financial affairs should be assigned to different tellers
6.      length of the average time that service i ( i=1,2,3…) needs to serve a person

By solving this IP model, maybe we will work out an optimal solution that satisfies the demand of customers with the lowest cost, but the bank maybe doesn’t want to invest so much as we have predicted. So we should add the EXPENDITURE CONSTRAINT to the MODEL 1, and eliminate the ideal waiting time constraint to see with the expenditure that the bank wants to invest, how much time can be decreased in queuing.

MODEL 2

Predicted objective function:
Min: z (length of the time customers need to spend on waiting in the queue)

打棒垒球有3个月了..从开始学传接球..地滚球..高飞球..

到后来的击棒..再到现在的正式比赛..

 

虽然我们队基本都是greenhand..对手大多都是已经练习了一个多学期的人了..

不过..基于我们大棒2队的努力..以及包括一些老师的赖皮=_=..3场比赛来..每次我们都赢了不少分..

 

今天第四次打比赛..

照例..我击第三棒..此时已有2人被杀..

举棒..挥杆..击球..扔杆..跑..-_-..

这时我发现投手已经拿到球..正准备传一垒封杀我..我只好采取进攻战术..把一垒给撞开..

就在撞的瞬间..球从我人中处擦过..好险..安全上垒..

不过这时..大腿肌肉分明的感觉到撕裂一般..我貌似拉伤了..忍吧..

于是..继续上2垒..在上3垒时..不幸被杀..-__-''白跑了..于是3出局..攻防转换..

下一局..整队都发挥出色..我照例打着后几棒..

这次场上满垒..任务艰巨阿..

虽然我是打不出安打..但是我得不被直接接杀..保至少一个安全回本垒..

运气还真不错..我让3垒的回来得分了..我也顺利上1垒..

..

 

这一局都不错..随着后来击棒队员的稳定发挥..我顺利跑完3垒回到本垒得到1分..（回本垒时差点被触杀）

不过由于跑的很激烈..不断加速..

当我顺利跑回来的时候..大腿已经完全不行了..

我就坐旁边休息去了..此时我队已经领先9分了..

 

中午..就一翘一翘去校医院了..在此要隆重感谢Lee和棒棒啊..

特别是Lee..你强的..背起我就走..-_-''..

 

于是就在医院里敷冰袋..敷了一个多小时后..冰袋都全化了..大腿皮肤比冰快还冰..

不过比较尴尬的就是..由于拉伤部位比较偏上..光拉裤脚管无法露出大腿上侧..

于是只好穿着内裤坐在急诊室里了..-__-''极度汗..

不时的有女生进来..那个尴尬阿..咳..

 

后来回家帮老妈提到这事..老妈出人意料的这样回答我..

“这有萨好尴尬的..人家模特穿着内裤不都到处跑..”-__-''..

哦..好吧..既然老妈这样说了..那我就不尴尬了..汗..

 

这个周末看来要好好听医生的话了..多休息..不能劳累..

加之最近情根牙（听说官方语言叫智齿..）又开始躁动发炎..

周末只好天天平躺床上休息了..

 

呵呵..天气还是不错的..心情其实也是蛮不错的..

 

比如前两天..我买到一支外面是木头铅笔感觉..但是很有质感..里面是活动铅笔..

而且那支笔设计的很有感觉..呵呵..开心了我半天..-__-''

我一向是喜欢用铅笔写写字..画画线..涂涂圈的..这下有满足感了..

 

这么点小事也可以让我开心好几天..我真是乐观到无可救药了..呵呵..

好吧..周末好好休息~然后把research proposal细化..6月就要来咯~

心惊肉跳的考试阶段总算是暂告一个段落了..

operations research还算运气不错..正好拿到个A-..

虽然和当年理力的满分不能比..但是毕竟已经努力了..而且卷子也有点难..

接下去就要好好做project..然后争取期末陈sir能给个A吧..当然如果能给A+的话就更好了..-_-''

 

材料成型的考试说实话，是我14年来这么多场考试中最混乱的一次了..

或许本来就是我酿成的错误吧..

 

我一般是没有习惯考试提前很早进考场的..所以一般进入考场后只剩下第一排..

于是就习惯就坐教室第一排考试了..反正我从来不作弊的..

 

材料成型考试那天，我照样不是很早进考场..

等我到的时候..Lee已经帮我安排好座位..让我坐在后排阶梯区的第一个..

这样的安排可想而知他们的想法..-_-''

当时..我也不知怎么的..就坐下了..

 

于是..考试时混乱得不能再混乱的事情一件件发生..

A卷和B卷很多是完全不一样的题目..

我做A卷..而我在做题的过程中..不断旁边有人问我B卷怎么做..

..

一开始..左边隔壁班的女生像广播般得向后区播送我试卷上的答案..我那个汗阿..

到后来..旁边的同学索性看我卷子还不够..竟然开始抢我卷子抄..

而此时的我和老师面面相觑..-_-''..我岂止一个尴尬了得..

 

最后..我是实在受不了了..只好草草检查一遍后，提前35分钟交卷了..我一般都是死坐到考试结束的..-_-''

我错了..-__-''..下次8能心软了..

考试一定要远离那些对我抱有希望的人..

虽然有时适当的给与“不经意的帮助”..比如让别人偷看两眼还是能理解的..

但是我不能给他们养成这么不好的习惯..

 

想到考试暂且结束还是蛮开心的..8过..周三连续赶完两场考试后..也没轻松到哪里去..

一陀实验报告..加上因为考试已经欠下了的一屁股的作业..只好继续天天自修补大头债..

 

而且天气也很不错..我又可以夹着我的拖鞋..喝着我的饮料..踢踏踢踏地游走于学校了..

7号正好是我那张mastercard的due time..于是我就晚上去24h的CDM机存钱去..

没想到跑到那突然发现一台CDM机坏掉..还有一台竟然提示说：钱已存满..

我那个巨汗啊..

以前只听说过ATM机被取款取空掉..还从来没听到说CDM机存满的事情..我郁闷..

 

加之我自己CCB网银出现问题..不能处理..于是只好让朋友帮忙..

朋友用的是工行网银..我真想骂工行了..SB啊..

7号转的帐..今天已经12号了..竟然还没有转到我帐上..郁闷..

真不知道工行那SB银行是干吗的..

咳..现在我一定已经被罚了n多元了..T_T..郁闷啊..

 

也罢也罢..破点财..换来点RP也好..

 

最近貌似好事情还是有很多的~..

已经5月了..马上6月初..WWDC07又要在三藩市(San Francisco)举行了~..到时候又要倒15个小时时差了..

8过到时iPhone啦..Leopard啦..macbook pro3啦..都要隆重上市料..

如果运气好..说不定iPod 6th generation的触摸屏也会从年底提前到6月了..我又yy了..-_-''

而后面的良好市民们却怎么也刷不了卡..出不出去了..sign..

 

当然不能一杆子打死所有人..还是有很多素质高的外地朋友的..现在称之为“新上海人”..

当然剩下的就自然还是被习惯性的叫做“乡窝宁”了..
